Self-Hypnosis Instructions

You may find it helpful to listen to my hypnotherapy relaxation recording first before following these instructions.

1.

Find a spot where you know you won't be disturbed, preferably sitting in a chair, hands on your lap...

Close your eyes and take in a deep breath... and let it out slowly...

Tell yourself, your body is relaxing... starting with your head, shoulders, arms, legs etc... down to the tips of your toes,

saying statements such as... my shoulders are relaxing... my arms feeling comfortable... etc.

2.

When you have got to your toes being relaxed,

count yourself down from 10 to 1...

saying things like...

10... calmer and calmer,

9... more relaxed,

8... deeper and deeper relaxed,

7... even more relaxed,

6... calmer and calmer,

5... deeper and deeper,

4... so relaxed now,

3... very peaceful,

2... very comfortable,

1... completely relaxed now...

3.

when you get to number 1, imagine relaxing in a peaceful place, and use all your senses...

notice what you see... feel... hear... as you relax in your peaceful place.

4.

Then give yourself a positive statement...

for example, I am a calm, relaxed person... and repeat the statement 2 or 3 times.

Then count yourself up from 1 to 5...

when you get to number 5, open your eyes and you will feel wide awake, alert and feeling GOOD!
